Security Technical Analyst - Remote Cybersecurity Role

About the Role

We're hiring a Security Technical Analyst to join our team remotely. This role is perfect for professionals with a passion for cybersecurity and a solid background in incident response. As a Security Technical Analyst remote, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our client's information and infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Proactively identify and assess threats to client users, network, and data.
• Actively monitor and respond to reports of malicious activity with sound recommendations.
• Investigate intrusions and security events using deep technical experience.
• Analyze client’s threat landscape, performing gap analyses and assessments.
• Conduct forensic analysis using security tools and processes.
• Provide summarized and detailed analysis and documentation in support of Enterprise Security.
• Collaborate with clients' business units to mitigate security threats.
• Contribute to security awareness efforts, including simulated phishing campaigns and training.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of technical experience in security incident response and forensic analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Cyber Threat Intelligence and making information usable in the security incident process.
• Proficient in applying IOCs to identify threats and prevent future vulnerabilities.
• Technical security project management skills are essential.
• Familiarity with best practices and frameworks: ISO 27001/27002, PCI DSS v4, GLBA, HIPAA/HITECH, NIST 800-53, CIS CONTROLS, NIST CSF.

Nice to Have

• Experience in developing Standard Operating Procedures and training documents.
• Knowledge of security tools and processes.
• Strong communication skills for representing Enterprise Security on security-related topics.
