SAP Consultant (HCM Focus) - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a talented SAP Consultant (HCM Focus) - Remote to join our team at Orexes. As an SAP Consultant, you will play a crucial role in advising our clients on the design, implementation, and enhancement of complex information systems within the SAP HCM environment. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while engaging in significant projects across Germany.

What You'll Do

• Consult with clients on the conception, implementation, support, and further development of complex information systems in the SAP HCM area, from analysis to productive use.
• Develop and customize SAP HCM with a focus on modules PA, PT, and OM.
• Conceptualize, support, and further develop organizational structures (OM) as a basis for processes, evaluations, and relevant HR access.
• Manage end-to-end requirements: consulting, capturing and structuring new project and client requirements, deriving solution concepts, and planning, coordinating, and implementing (including documentation).
• Enhance client-owned HCM tools and extensions, including quality assurance, rollout support, and knowledge transfer.
• Consider permissions in the HR context: ensure that role and HR access concepts align with process and OM structures in coordination with Security/Key Users.

Requirements

• Completed training or degree (e.g., Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration, etc.) and relevant professional experience in the IT or SAP environment.
• Strong understanding of HR processes and IT-supported HR solutions, especially SAP HCM.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP HCM, ideally with a focus on OM, and project experience in PA/PT.
• Technical know-how for the implementation, further development, and rollout support of SAP HCM projects (including testing, cutover/go-live, stabilization).
• Experience with HR permissions/user and permissions administration, understanding the interplay of OM structures, HR processes, and access concepts.
• Enthusiasm for digitalization topics in the context of SAP HR strategies and processes.
• Excellent consulting skills, flexibility, and communication skills – you can capture, structure, and convey requirements clearly (both written and verbal).
• Very good German language skills.
• Willingness to travel nationwide in Germany.
• Independent and structured working style, reliability, and being a team player.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP Security and compliance regulations.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies.
