Product Security Architect - Remote Role at College Board

About the Role

We are seeking a Product Security Architect to join our team at College Board. This is a fully remote role where you will play a crucial part in ensuring the security of our cloud-native products. As a Product Security Architect remote position, you will collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify risks early and implement practical security architecture.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a trusted security advisor to engineering and product teams, guiding secure architecture and design decisions.
• Review system and application architectures, identifying gaps and recommending enhancements aligned with College Board’s Product Security Framework.
• Conduct architectural assessments, threat modeling, and data flow reviews to ensure secure-by-design practices.
• Advise on secure implementation of cloud-native services, IAM, encryption, and serverless design patterns.
• Lead risk-based trade-off discussions, documenting key decisions to help teams move quickly and consistently.

Requirements

• Meaningful experience in security architecture, application security, or cloud security.
• Strong understanding of security risks in multi-tenant SaaS architectures.
• Experience leading threat modeling and architecture reviews.
• Cloud security depth, preferably in AWS.
• Experience securing third-party integrations at scale.

Nice to Have

• Experience in K–12 or higher education ecosystems.
• Familiarity with AI-driven solutions.
• Strong collaboration and influence skills.
