Remote Head of Engineering - Lead Technical Strategy

About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Head of Engineering to lead our technical strategy and engineering function in a rapidly growing market. As the Head of Engineering, you will work closely with the founders to make critical technical decisions that shape the future of our products. This role offers the opportunity to define engineering excellence and drive innovation in a remote-first environment.

What You'll Do

• Lead the engineering team in developing scalable backend systems using technologies such as TypeScript, Rust, and AWS.
• Oversee the implementation of APIs and distributed systems to enhance product functionality.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous improvement, and agile methodologies within the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with business goals, particularly in B2B sales and client engagement.
• Drive AI/ML integration into our products to enhance user experience and retention.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Head of Engineering or in a similar leadership role within a technology-driven company.
• Strong background in software development, engineering management, and team leadership.
• Expertise in backend systems, APIs, and cloud computing technologies.
• Experience with data engineering, SQL, and technical strategy formulation.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills to develop and mentor engineering talent.

Nice to Have

• Experience in product management and program management.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and process improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of enterprise sales and account management.
