Remote Accounting Manager - Multi-Entity Focus

About the Role

We’re hiring a highly detail-oriented and execution-driven Accounting Manager remote to oversee financial reporting, month-end close, payroll, and core accounting operations across complex client accounts. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in structured environments, takes ownership of financial accuracy, and can manage multi-entity, multi-location accounting workflows.

What You'll Do

• Execute month-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and maintain financial reports aligned with client requirements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and reporting timelines.
• Process payroll accurately using systems such as Gusto or similar platforms.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Calculate and file U.S. state sales tax accurately and on time.
• Build and maintain custom reports for business insights.
• Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements in accounting processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong experience with accrual accounting / GAAP financials.
• Experience managing multi-entity, multi-location businesses.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables).
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with NetSuite.
• Familiarity with Paylocity or ADP.
• Exposure to time-tracking tools such as Clockify.
