R&D Systems Engineer for Radar Systems - Remote Opportunities
About the Role
Orbital Critical Systems (CAF Group) is seeking a talented R&D Systems Engineer for Radar Systems to join our innovative team. This exciting opportunity allows you to work remotely while contributing to cutting-edge projects in the aerospace and defense sectors. As an R&D Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and analyzing novel radar concepts for UAVs, helicopters, and air-taxis.
What You'll Do
- Participate in international research projects with partners such as FHR, DLR, and universities.
- Develop and analyze radar concepts and signal processing algorithms.
- Support RF engineering teams in advanced radar prototyping.
- Contribute to the development of radar prototypes and system architectures.
- Present findings at international radar research conferences.
- Work in multidisciplinary teams including physics, RF, AI/ML, and electromagnetics.
Requirements
- Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience in signal processing, radar systems, RF, electromagnetics, or algorithm development.
- Familiarity with tools such as Python, MATLAB, Simulink, and C++.
- Strong analytical skills and a keen interest in research activities.
- C1 English proficiency is mandatory; C1 German is also required.
- Applicants must hold EU citizenship.
