QA Engineer (SDET /​ Automation) - Remote Legal-Tech & FinTech

About the Role

We are seeking a QA Engineer (SDET / Automation) remote to join our dynamic team at Embrace Software Inc. In this role, you will help shape our QA strategy for a cutting-edge legal-tech and fintech SaaS product. You will collaborate closely with developers and architects to implement robust test automation for both frontend and backend services, ensuring our systems are reliable, secure, and scalable.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement automated tests for Python and JavaScript/TypeScript projects.
• Test backend APIs and services using tools like Pytest and Postman.
• Utilize modern frontend test frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, and Cypress.
• Plan testing strategies for features and projects, considering scope, risk, and coverage.
• Document test plans, test cases, and automation architecture clearly and maintainably.
• Collaborate in a small, highly effective team and communicate effectively.
• Manage version control and workflows using Git-based practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in QA / SDET roles with a strong focus on automation.
• Experience writing automated tests for Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proficient in testing backend APIs with tools like Swagger and Postman.
• Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Ability to plan and execute testing strategies effectively.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing or maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI pipelines and integrating tests into build workflows.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools like Locust.
• Exposure to AI-powered testing platforms.
• Awareness of security risks related to fintech and legal-tech systems.
