QA Engineer (Compose Multiplatform) - Remote Position

About the Role

Join JetBrains as a QA Engineer (Compose Multiplatform) and be part of a team that is passionate about code and developer tools. In this remote position, you will work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the development of our fast reactive cross-platform UI framework for Kotlin. As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products, allowing developers to focus on what they do best.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with developers on exploratory testing of the Compose Multiplatform framework’s platform-specific features.
• Conduct integration testing of important user scenarios, focusing on corner cases.
• Identify and report bugs, submitting results to our issue tracker and performing regression tests for code fixes.
• Participate in product planning, creating test plans for proposed changes.
• Automate integration tests from the perspective of both Compose API users and end users of applications built with Compose Multiplatform.

Requirements

• Experience in QA engineering, preferably with a focus on cross-platform applications.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage tasks effectively.
• Strong analytical skills to explore and identify existing and potential problems.
• Experience writing automation tests in Kotlin is a plus.
• Familiarity with IDEs, bug trackers, version control systems, and Continuous Integration systems.
• Experience in application testing for iOS, Android, web, or desktop platforms.

Nice to Have

• Ability to code at a level sufficient to create test examples and simple programs.
• Willingness to learn new programming languages and technologies.
• Experience with Kotlin is highly desirable.
