Power Plant Operator - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Power Plant Operator to join our team at A2A, working remotely while ensuring the smooth operation of the Gissi Thermoelectric Power Plant. In this role, you will monitor operational data, execute maneuvers, and ensure compliance with technical and regulatory standards. As a Power Plant Operator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our energy generation processes.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the operation and control of power plant systems, ensuring continuous monitoring of parameters through available remote control systems (DCS).
• Participate in manual maneuvers and verify the correct execution of automatic sequences.
• Analyze process parameters, identify deviations and malfunctions, and assist in troubleshooting with the Shift Supervisor.
• Issue Work Orders for maintenance interventions on faults, anomalies, or operational checks.
• Ensure the safety of the plant and participate in emergency management.
• Compile daily operation reports and maintain accurate records of operational data.
• Monitor and manage the logistics of materials and reagents necessary for the operation of the plant.

Requirements

• Technical diploma in Thermotechnics, Mechanics, Electrotechnics, or Electronics.
• Preferably experience in similar operational roles within thermoelectric plants or energy management systems.
• Knowledge of thermal and electrical systems, P&I diagrams, electrical and electromechanical schematics, and technical drawings.
• Preferred qualifications include a first or second-grade license for operating steam generators, experience with PLC/DCS systems, and PES - PAV certification as per CEI 11-27.
• Availability to work in continuous shifts with on-call duties.
• Basic knowledge of the Office Package.
• Strong problem-solving skills, proactivity, result orientation, teamwork, operational autonomy, and good communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in energy generation, waste-to-energy plants, chemical and petrochemical plants.
• Additional certifications related to safety and operational efficiency.
