Data Operations Analyst - AI & FinTech Focus

About the Role

We are looking for a Data Operations Analyst remote to join our innovative team at Heron Data. In this role, you will bridge the gap between AI, data, and human judgment, ensuring our systems perform with world-class accuracy. Your work will directly impact the reliability and scalability of our AI platform, which automates complex workflows for financial institutions.

What You'll Do

• Review and validate financial data to ensure accuracy and integrity for core AI-powered workflows.
• Diagnose complex parsing failures and uncover root causes to improve model performance.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to refine our internal Retool-based review systems.
• Test new features, prototype automation, and document improvements that reduce review time.
• Identify recurring manual steps and propose or build small automations to eliminate them.
• Support customer success by ensuring reviewed data meets accuracy and turnaround SLAs.

Requirements

• Strong analytical skills with a knack for breaking down ambiguous problems.
• Experience with digital tools and automation; familiarity with Retool is a plus.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems independently.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a strategic approach to problem-solving.
• Educational background in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, or similar.

Nice to Have

• Experience in financial services or fintech environments.
• Familiarity with metrics dashboards and operational throughput measurement.
• Previous roles in product operations or data analytics.
