Planner/Works Programmer - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a Planner/Works Programmer to join our team in a remote capacity. As a Planner/Works Programmer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth scheduling of works orders and the efficient allocation of resources. Your expertise will help us deliver exceptional services to the North Lanarkshire community while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Schedule all works orders through the in-house appointments system, ensuring timely allocation to trade operatives.
- Monitor and update job statuses, including managing overdue jobs and ensuring follow-on jobs are actioned promptly.
- Communicate effectively with service users, clients, and stakeholders, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Support the scheduling of operative and subcontract resources to meet performance targets and deliver a customer-focused repairs service.
- Utilize IT systems effectively, ensuring operatives are trained in using their PDAs and that rate codes are inputted accurately.
- Provide backup to other planners and attend company and client meetings as required.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with team members to deliver efficient and productive services to clients.
Requirements
- Experience working in a pressurized environment with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills.
- Proficient IT skills, including experience with scheduling software.
- Good customer service skills, with a focus on enhancing the customer experience.
- Previous experience in planning within a social housing environment is advantageous.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a similar role within the construction or maintenance sector.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
