People Analytics Analyst - Remote Opportunity at Deel

About the Role

We are looking for a People Analytics Analyst remote to join our dynamic team at Deel. As a key player in our HR and business functions, you will ensure the integrity of our workforce data, build the analytical infrastructure our team relies on, and deliver actionable insights that drive strategic people decisions. This role is vital in connecting our data engineering layer with HR stakeholders who utilize our analytics to make informed decisions.

What You'll Do

  • Own and evolve Deel's people data quality framework, implementing automated validation rules across our HRIS data.
  • Define, document, and standardize key people metrics such as headcount, attrition, and engagement to ensure consistent definitions across all reporting platforms.
  • Build and maintain a metric dictionary to ensure every analyst and stakeholder works from the same source of truth.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to implement data quality tests and validation processes that enforce data quality at the pipeline level.
  • Design and maintain people analytics dashboards in Looker and Hex, creating both curated reports and self-service frameworks.
  • Analyze workforce trends and translate findings into clear, decision-ready narratives for HRBPs and leadership.
  • Identify repetitive analytical workflows and build automated pipelines to eliminate manual effort.
  • Contribute to AI-powered analytics initiatives, including automated data quality monitoring and workflow automation.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in an HR or people analytics context.
  • Strong SQL proficiency against a cloud data warehouse, preferably Snowflake.
  • Experience with BI tools for dashboard development, such as Looker or Hex.
  • Demonstrated experience in owning data quality processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining data findings to non-technical HR stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with HRIS data (e.g., Workday, BambooHR, Deel).
  • Familiarity with core HR metrics like time-to-hire and engagement scores.
  • Comfort working with AI tools and LLM APIs for analytics automation.
