Pentest Automation Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

Join XBOW as a Pentest Automation Engineer and help build the future of offensive security. In this remote role, you will be at the forefront of cybersecurity, utilizing AI to enhance security measures. Our platform autonomously discovers, validates, and exploits vulnerabilities, providing organizations with proof-backed results in hours instead of weeks. As a Pentest Automation Engineer, you will design, run, and maintain an always-on testing program that applies XBOW across public bug bounty environments and partnered open-source projects.

What You'll Do

• Own and execute a continuous program running XBOW against public bug bounty programs, such as those using HackerOne.
• Collaborate with open-source projects to run XBOW, launching the program in Q2.
• Ensure targets are attackable and activities remain within bug-bounty scope.
• Prioritize targets based on attack surface and target value.
• Incorporate pre-release XBOW software into the program schedule.
• Automate the attack pipeline, including scanning, reconnaissance, safety checks, and target selection.
• Develop tooling for triage and analysis of findings, and create a company-wide dashboard for active programs.

Requirements

• Professional experience with Typescript in automation tooling.
• Expertise in AWS and Linux.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitHub Actions.
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure & DevOps tooling.
• Advantageous: Experience with Go or Python in automation tooling.
• Familiarity with additional cloud providers (GCP, Azure).
• Knowledge of DevOps and IaC technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.

Nice to Have

• Experience in security testing or vulnerability assessment.
• Familiarity with AI applications in cybersecurity.
• Understanding of compliance and safety regulations in security testing.
