About the Role

We are seeking a Payroll Specialist Lead to join our dynamic team at Remote. This is a fantastic opportunity to work remotely while making a significant impact in the global employment landscape. As a Payroll Specialist Lead, you will play a crucial role in managing payroll operations and ensuring compliance across various jurisdictions.

What You'll Do

• Act as a subject matter expert in payroll management, overseeing the full end-to-end payroll process.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders in Payroll Implementation, Finance, Product, and Engineering teams.
• Ensure data integrity and quality in payroll processing, including statutory filing requirements and compliance.
• Focus on key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to drive operational excellence.
• Implement and improve payroll processes, mentoring and supporting junior payroll specialists.
• Backup regional managers during their absence to ensure continuity of operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in payroll management or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of payroll best practices and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in software tools such as SAP and Excel/Google Sheets.
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international work environment.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

• Experience working remotely is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with automation and AI tools in payroll processes.
