Release Engineer - Remote Opportunity in FinTech

About the Role

As a Release Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our release processes while collaborating with various teams across our innovative FinTech and iGaming projects. This position allows you to work remotely while being part of a vibrant team dedicated to creating cutting-edge technology solutions.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate closely with Operations, Infrastructure, Development, Legal, and Security teams to streamline release processes.
• Build new and improve existing release processes using tools like Jira and GitLab, ensuring they meet both business requirements and developer convenience.
• Implement and continuously enhance release processes across multiple development teams, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
• Oversee environment provisioning and maintain consistency from development to production environments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to guarantee high-quality release delivery.
• Assist teams with branching strategies and DevOps principles, enabling them to deliver quickly and safely.

Requirements

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead changes in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Kubernetes and a solid understanding of its internal workings.
• Hands-on experience with the Argo ecosystem, including ArgoCD and Argo Rollout.
• Familiarity with microservice architecture principles.
• Proficient in GitLab CI and its functionalities.
• Knowledge of Quality Control and test automation in agile-based continuous integration environments.
• Experience with Python and Shell scripting for daily automation tasks.
• Familiarity with MySQL and Redis databases.

Nice to Have

• Practical experience with AWS or GCP, Calico, and Istio.
• Experience with messaging systems like Nats and RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience with Unleash and its webhooks and integration.
