QA Analyst - Remote Role at Thesis

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated QA Analyst remote to join our team at Thesis. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality of our high-performance, scalable web applications that enhance the student journey for mid-market institutions across the US and Canada. As a QA Analyst, you will take pride in breaking things so our users never have to, and your contributions will directly impact our mission to empower educational institutions.

What You'll Do

• Execute manual testing of new features and resolved defects, ensuring high standards of quality.
• Maintain and design new test cases to support ongoing development.
• Plan and execute the regression cycle prior to each release, collaborating closely with the Engineering team.
• Analyze requirements and work with stakeholders to refine and elaborate on features.
• Expertly report and document defects, working collaboratively with Development on solutions.
• Participate actively in Refinement, Grooming, and Planning sessions to enhance product quality.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in manual testing of large, web-based software.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle in Agile environments.
• Experience writing test cases, designing test plans, and with test automation.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and experience in cross-collaborative environments.
• Ability to prioritize and manage testing tasks effectively within a defined timeframe.
• Experience in testing and utilizing AI for Quality Assurance is a plus.
• Experience with automation tools such as Playwright and Typescript is a bonus.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Student Information Systems or Ed-Tech processes.
• Experience analyzing requirements and translating them into effective test plans.
