Part-time SOC Analyst (Remote Weekend Shift)

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Part-time SOC Analyst to join our team remotely. This part-time role offers a unique opportunity to work on weekends, specifically from 3 PM to 12 AM Eastern Time on Saturdays and Sundays. As a SOC Analyst, you will be responsible for triaging security alerts generated by our SIEM and other detection applications. This position is 100% remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States while contributing to our cybersecurity efforts.

What You'll Do

• Monitor and analyze security alerts to identify potential threats and active attacks.
• Utilize tools such as Splunk, Crowdstrike, and Palo Alto Next-Gen Firewalls to mitigate security incidents.
• Collaborate with the security team to enhance incident response strategies.
• Stay updated on the latest security technologies and threat tactics.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to improve your skills in information security.

Requirements

• Typically, a 2-year academic degree in a relevant field.
• Familiarity with Information Security through education or practical work experience.
• Knowledge of security technologies including SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and NGFW solutions.
• CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certifications are preferred.
• Strong understanding of information technology tools and best practices.
