About the Role

We're hiring a Mid-Senior Security Engineer to join our team at Helsing. As a Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in identifying and mitigating security risks across our systems and products, ensuring our technology remains robust and trustworthy.

What You'll Do

• Identify, assess, and prioritize security risks across our systems, products, and infrastructure.
• Design and implement practical security controls across cloud platforms, applications, and data.
• Develop and apply threat models to surface architectural risks and trust boundary issues.
• Partner with engineering and product teams as a trusted security adviser, providing guidance and patterns.
• Contribute to the detection, investigation, and containment of security incidents.
• Build automation and improve tooling to reduce manual security work.
• Bring technical depth to assurance activities such as audits and certifications.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on expertise in security domains such as application security, cloud security, or identity management.
• Ability to think in terms of trust boundaries and adversarial behavior.
• Experience translating complex security risks into language that resonates with non-security stakeholders.
• Proven track record of identifying gaps and driving security improvements.
• Experience working across multiple teams and technical domains.

Nice to Have

• Experience in regulated environments with complex security requirements.
• Hands-on offensive security experience, such as penetration testing.
• Familiarity with security considerations specific to AI or machine learning systems.
• Background in cloud-native security engineering across AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with supply chain security concerns.
