Founding Designer - Shape the Future of AI Mentorship

About the Role

We're seeking a Founding Designer to join our innovative team at Quest. As a Founding Designer remote, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our AI mentor product that knows and challenges users to grow. With a recent funding of $6M pre-seed, this is an exciting opportunity to influence the design of a groundbreaking product.

What You'll Do

• Lead product design end-to-end: UX, flows, UI, micro-interactions, and copy direction.
• Develop a morphing UI system that adapts to user psychology, creating a unique experience for each individual.
• Design an onboarding process that reveals the AI mentor's capabilities in a way that feels like discovery.
• Define the visual identity and brand of Quest, contributing your strong points of view.
• Create motion and feedback that make the product feel alive and responsive.
• Set the design culture as the only designer initially, establishing high standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in shipping consumer products, with multiple apps designed from scratch.
• Strong craft and product instinct, with a focus on exceptional visual quality.
• Experience in mobile iOS design and a genuine curiosity about AI.
• Background in behavioral or psychological design, understanding how UX influences user behavior.
• Ability to work proactively and bring ideas to life without waiting for direction.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI tools for design, such as Figma AI or similar.
• Hands-on experience in coding to fix UI details when necessary.
• Interest in social, health, or personal growth consumer products.
