About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Kafka & Linux System Administrator to support and manage enterprise-scale messaging and middleware environments. What You'll Do

  • Administer and support Apache Kafka clusters, including Broker, Zookeeper, Schema Registry, and Kafka Connect.
  • Perform installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades of Kafka environments.
  • Build and maintain new environments and clusters to enhance system capabilities.
  • Provide middleware and production support for distributed systems.
  • Support application configuration and deployments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Automate tasks using Ansible scripting to improve efficiency.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure high availability across all platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system architecture.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Kafka Administration.
  • Strong expertise in Linux/Unix environments, preferably RHEL.
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka ecosystem components.
  • Proficiency in Ansible and automation scripting.
  • Experience in middleware or production support environments.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
  • Shell scripting experience (Bash).
