We are seeking a talented Data Scientist - Chemical Manufacturing to join our team remotely. As a Data Scientist - Chemical Manufacturing Remote, you will play a crucial role in optimizing processes and driving efficiency gains.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost savings.
  • Develop and implement predictive models for material usage and production optimization.
  • Apply generative AI and LLMs for research and solution development.
  • Utilize Python, R, SQL, and REST APIs for data processing and model deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvement initiatives.
  • Own projects from ideation to execution, delivering measurable business impact.
  • Travel to the Newark, DE site initially weekly for onboarding, then monthly.

Requirements

  • PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in chemical manufacturing environments.
  • Strong industrial/process optimization and data analysis experience.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, REST APIs.
  • Experience with GenAI, LLMs (OpenAI, Meta, Google), RAG, Prompt Engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs and communicate effectively.
  • Quick learner with a strong sense of ownership.

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation of $75-90/hr on W2, translating to an annual salary range of $156,000 - $187,200.
