Mid-Senior Application Security Architect/Engineer - Remote
About the Role
We are seeking a talented Mid-Senior Application Security Architect/Engineer to join our team in a fully remote capacity. As an Application Security Architect/Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our security posture by developing and implementing security architectural deliverables. What You'll Do
- Develop enterprise security architecture that identifies and describes the relationships among functions, data, applications, and technology.
- Lead project teams composed of Business Analysts, Systems Engineers, and Research Specialists.
- Analyze systems and technology integration requirements across multiple applications and organizations.
- Communicate effectively with process and system owners, IT management, and technical staff to ensure security architecture relevance.
- Review code designs from a security standpoint and conduct internal and external application security assessments.
- Implement secure development lifecycle practices and defend against OWASP Top Ten attack types.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, and provide solutions for fixing vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate on data encryption solutions and ensure compliance with information privacy and security laws.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in Security Architecture, focusing on applications, infrastructure, and identity management.
- Hands-on experience with secure coding practices and reviewing code for security vulnerabilities.
- Demonstrated experience with vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and secure development lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of application security principles and the AAA (AuthN, AuthZ, and Audit) components.
- Experience with programming languages such as C, Python, Ruby, and C++.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field; advanced degree or certification preferred.
Nice to Have
- Management experience in a controlled regulatory environment.
- Familiarity with TOGAF and its relevance in security architecture.
