Mid-Level Tester - Readiness and Employment System (Remote)

About the Role

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Tester to support the Readiness and Employment System (RES) contract within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This position will be a fully remote role, allowing you to contribute to meaningful projects from anywhere in the United States.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment to ensure that the product meets specifications.
• Plan and arrange labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating the product.
• Create test cases for test plans and develop test scenarios for execution.
• Compile data, define required changes, and report defects and issues encountered during testing.
• Consult with development and requirements teams to coordinate and test applications effectively.
• Perform analysis, diagnostics, and preliminary evaluations of products.
• Develop testing procedures, plans, scripts, scenarios, functional tests, regression tests, and deployment tests.
• Produce reports on each test activity and track test metrics for continual improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of experience in a testing role.
• Experience with Jira or other test management tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required for federal background investigation standards.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
