Mid-Level SOC Analyst - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Mid-Level SOC Analyst remote to join our dynamic cyber security team. This role offers a competitive salary of up to $110,000 annually, with relocation assistance available for qualified candidates. As a Mid-Level SOC Analyst remote, you will monitor and defend our enterprise network infrastructure, investigate security incidents, and implement proactive security measures. What You'll Do

• Continuously monitor computer networks to identify and respond to security issues promptly.
• Investigate security breaches, document incidents, and assess the damage caused.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, including conducting penetration tests and fixing identified vulnerabilities.
• Install and configure security tools such as firewalls, encryption software, and intrusion detection systems.
• Conduct forensic analysis by creating forensically sound duplicates of files and decrypting data.
• Support real-time cyber defense operations and assist deployable Incident Response Teams (IRTs) in handling cybersecurity incidents.
• Maintain awareness of emerging threats and recommend best practices for IT security.

Requirements

• Top Secret security clearance with the ability to sit for the CI Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least eight years of relevant experience in cyber security operations.
• Hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise Security.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel and various GIAC certifications such as GMON, GCIH, GCFA, GCIA, and GNFA.
• Strong analytical skills and technical proficiency in forensic analysis, intrusion detection, vulnerability assessment, and incident response.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud security solutions.
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001.
• Experience in a SOC environment.
