Mid-Level Data Analyst Consultant - Reinsurance Domain

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Data Analyst Consultant - Remote to join our high-performing consultant teams at Toucanberry Tech. In this role, you will deliver cutting-edge solutions for our financial services clients, specifically within the reinsurance domain. Your data analysis skills and financial acumen will be essential to supporting senior business experts and making informed decisions.

What You'll Do

• Perform complex data manipulation and analysis to support senior business experts and stakeholders.
• Utilize Python and its data libraries, including Pandas and NumPy, to handle large datasets and automate analytical tasks.
• Design and execute robust data mapping and analysis projects to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Collaborate with expert teams to understand client needs and translate them into effective data solutions.
• Work in a fast-paced start-up environment, adapting to agile methodologies and high-pressure situations.

Requirements

• Proven experience with DBT, transforming raw data in the warehouse into clean, tested, and documented models using SQL.
• Recent experience with Databricks is essential.
• Domain knowledge in asset management, particularly understanding assets data such as financial securities and trading data within the last 3 years.
• Experience with investment-related projects or working in the reinsurance or life insurance domain.
• Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and querying.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate and engage with senior stakeholders effectively.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a start-up environment.
• Familiarity with agile project management methodologies.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages or data analysis tools.
