Community Outreach Team Leader - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a Community Outreach Team Leader to join our team remotely. In this role, you will manage a dedicated team focused on community engagement and safety initiatives. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our outreach programs effectively reduce fire risks and enhance the health and well-being of the communities we serve.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the Prevention Officers and Prevention Practitioners in your team.
- Work in various settings outside of the West Midlands Fire Service (WMFS), providing one-to-one support for individuals.
- Manage a defined caseload, ensuring effective support for individuals with complex needs.
- Build and maintain relationships with professionals responsible for the health and support needs of adults, children, and young people.
- Design and review processes to ensure the efficient operation of the team.
- Utilize Microsoft Office 365 applications to manage information and communications effectively.
- Oversee team performance, attendance, and administration.
Requirements
- A qualification in a relevant discipline or extensive experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Experience in managing staff and resources to ensure effective service delivery.
- Proven experience in community engagement and support.
- Understanding of health inequalities and factors that increase vulnerability to fire.
Nice to Have
- A qualification in Health and Social Care or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- Experience in community safety and health and wellbeing initiatives.
- Understanding of the National Curriculum and Local Education Authorities.
- Experience working with both young people and adults in support or educational settings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Teams, Word, and Excel.
