About the Role
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Director - Data Centers Remote to lead our U.S. Data Center Mechanical Department at AECOM. What You'll Do
- Lead the U.S. Data Center Mechanical Engineering team, setting the vision and direction for mechanical design.
- Establish technical standards and best practices for mechanical design in data centers.
- Provide guidance on complex mechanical system design, ensuring high performance and efficiency.
- Oversee coordination with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Support resource planning and staffing strategies to optimize team performance.
- Mentor and develop engineers within the department, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards, maintaining the highest quality in our work.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.
- Participate in client meetings as a senior technical representative, promoting new technologies to improve system performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 12 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, particularly in data centers.
- 4 years of leadership experience in a similar role.
- Professional Engineer License (P.E.) required.
- Direct experience with data center projects is essential.
