We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer - Propulsion Systems to join our innovative team at Northrop Grumman. This remote position allows you to work on groundbreaking propulsion systems that impact lives globally. What You'll Do

  • Perform analysis, design, and testing of propulsion systems for launch vehicles and missile systems.
  • Apply engineering principles and industry standards to develop propulsion systems.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary design and analysis processes to meet mission requirements.
  • Conduct hands-on testing of pneumatic and hydraulic components.
  • Lead the Integrated Product Team in coordinating supplier notifications and hardware acceptance reviews.
  • Conduct pre-launch engineering reviews and assess flight readiness.
  • Interact with customers to define system requirements and generate specifications.
  • Support new business initiatives and prepare proposal materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 2+ years of engineering experience, or a Master’s degree with relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain a US DoD Secret Security clearance.
  • Experience with Matlab and Python is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice to Have

  • Active US DoD Top Secret security clearance.
  • Experience in environmental testing and data acquisition.
  • Knowledge of configuration change management.
