About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Staff Software Backend Engineer to join our team at Palo Alto Networks. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of AI security, where you will be working on the Prisma AIRS Red Teaming product. As a Senior Staff Software Backend Engineer remote, you will collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to deliver cutting-edge backend solutions.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement scalable backend services for the Prisma AIRS Red Teaming product.
• Lead architectural design discussions and ensure the maintainability of the backend codebase.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices for backend development.
• Translate complex technical requirements into robust backend solutions.
• Drive collaborative discussions to enhance product quality and team synergy.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of programming experience in Python or Golang.
• Expertise in building scalable distributed systems.
• Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and relational databases.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines like GitHub Actions and GitLab.

Nice to Have

• Experience with microservices architecture and building APIs.
• Familiarity with Secure by Design patterns.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks.
