IT Specialist (Policy/​Planning/​InfoSec) - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking an IT Specialist (Policy/Planning/InfoSec) to join our team in Japan. This IT Specialist remote position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) while enjoying the flexibility of remote work. You will play a crucial role in leading Command Information/Operational Technology RMF package accreditation projects, ensuring that our efforts align with the business strategy.

What You'll Do

• Conduct and lead RMF package accreditation projects, ensuring compliance with Navy Risk Management Framework processes.
• Implement program/project management principles across all RMF project efforts.
• Analyze cybersecurity enterprise requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create, review, edit, and obtain concurrence on necessary artifacts for RMF packages.
• Provide leadership in cybersecurity assessment and authorization, identifying deficiencies and recommending solutions.

Requirements

• One year of information technology-related experience in federal service or private/public sector.
• Demonstrated competencies in Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
• Specialized experience equivalent to GS-12 level in cybersecurity programs, policy, and operations.
• Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders regarding cybersecurity policies and programs.
• Experience in developing and applying new policies and procedures to solve complex problems.

Nice to Have

• Experience with operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) integration.
• Familiarity with Navy Risk Management Framework processes.
• Certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
