Manager Group Accounting & Subsidiaries - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Manager Group Accounting & Subsidiaries to join our dynamic team at Greencells. This remote position offers the opportunity to manage financial governance for multiple European subsidiaries while ensuring timely preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the preparation and submission of VAT returns and declarations for various European companies.
• Act as the primary contact for auditors, tax advisors, and internal departments.
• Support group accounting and consolidation processes, including intercompany reconciliations and harmonization of financial statements.
• Develop and implement internal controls and finance policies to enhance financial processes.
• Collaborate closely with external tax advisors to ensure compliant and efficient tax handling.
• Engage in cross-departmental finance projects to drive improvements.
• Provide expertise on cross-border tax issues and special topics such as construction withholding tax.
• Contribute to the continuous development of finance policies and accounting manuals.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Tax, Controlling, or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience in Finance & Accounting, preferably in an international context.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and German accounting standards is desirable.
• Excellent MS Office skills.
• In-depth knowledge of income and sales tax law.
• Fluent in English, with good German skills being an advantage.
• Proactive, independent, and responsible attitude with strong teamwork capabilities.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for business purposes.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the CleanTech or renewable energy sector.
• Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems.
