Kubernetes Security Analyst - Remote Position

About the Role

We’re looking for a Kubernetes Security Analyst remote to help secure and support an existing containerized platform. In this role, you will focus on hardening, validating, and monitoring Kubernetes environments—not building them from scratch. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure the platform is secure, compliant, and operationally sound.

What You'll Do

• Secure Kubernetes clusters by implementing RBAC, network policies, and managing secrets.
• Support container security through image scanning and runtime protection.
• Review architecture and validate configurations to ensure security best practices.
• Manage vulnerability remediation and conduct risk assessments to mitigate threats.
• Ensure proper logging, monitoring, and alerting for Kubernetes environments.
• Support incident response for container environments, ensuring swift recovery and compliance.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes security.
• Strong understanding of container security, specifically with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with RBAC, network policies, and secrets management.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management and security operations.
• Knowledge of NIST, CIS, or similar frameworks.
• 2+ years of work experience with Kubernetes.
• 5+ years of work experience in Information Security Analysis.
• 3+ years of work experience with Threat & Vulnerability Management.

Nice to Have

• Experience with tools like Prisma, Aqua, Sysdig, or Defender.
• Background in regulated environments.
• Hybrid schedule required.
