Junior Fullstack Engineer - Remote Position at InStride Health

About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Fullstack Engineer to join our team at InStride Health. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of delivering specialty anxiety and OCD care for children and families. As a Junior Fullstack Engineer, you will design and develop software systems that enhance user experience for our adolescent patients, their families, and clinical staff.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop fullstack software systems that are maintainable and scalable.
• Build systems that are thoroughly tested, documented, and equipped with proper metrics and monitoring.
• Collaborate with internal product and design teams to translate business needs into practical technology solutions.
• Research and leverage commercial products, libraries, and tools to meet business and technical requirements.
• Provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement and work with the support team to diagnose and fix production issues.
• Actively participate as a creative and agile team member, pushing new features and code every iteration.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience writing and maintaining production-ready fullstack applications using frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, Svelte, or Vue, and programming languages like Go, C#, Java, or Typescript.
• Proficiency in debugging production issues and a strong understanding of APIs and state management.
• Familiarity with AWS is a plus.
• Experience with AI development tools is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical information clearly.
• Ability to work effectively on an engineering team, providing and receiving feedback in structured Pull Requests.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with tight deadlines.
• Adaptability to learn on the job and work with unfamiliar tools.
