IT Auditor - Remote Position at flatexDEGIRO

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced IT Auditor to join our dynamic team at flatexDEGIRO. This IT Auditor remote position offers the opportunity to work with a leading online brokerage platform in Europe. You will play a crucial role in planning and conducting IT audits across all organizational units, ensuring compliance with professional standards and enhancing our internal control systems.

What You'll Do

• Plan and conduct IT audits independently, including special audits across various organizational units.
• Analyze and assess the functionality and effectiveness of IT systems, processes, and controls.
• Prepare informative audit reports with actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Discuss and present audit results to heads of organizational units, ensuring timely resolution of identified issues.
• Support major projects with IT audits, maintaining independence and avoiding conflicts of interest.
• Advise organizational units on audit-related matters, contributing to the development of audit methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Several years of experience in IT auditing, preferably within banks or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of IT audit standards and methodologies, including ISO 27001, ITIL, and COBIT.
• Excellent English communication skills; knowledge of Dutch or German is a plus.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for audits.
• High degree of independence and initiative.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements such as GDPR and EBA Guidelines.
• Experience with risk management frameworks.
• Familiarity with IT-supported operational processes in financial institutions.
