International Mechanical Site Supervisor - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced International Mechanical Site Supervisor to join our team at Fives. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled professional to lead mechanical installations and ensure the successful commissioning of special equipment at international sites. As an International Mechanical Site Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing industrial operations while working remotely.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the installation of mechanical equipment and special machines at client sites globally.
- Act as the technical guarantor for the work performed by local contractors.
- Participate in technical tests and commissioning of equipment and machines.
- Conduct daily briefings on-site, discussing safety, team KPIs, and addressing any issues that arise.
- Regularly monitor project progress through weekly meetings during the construction phase, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective measures.
- Train operators on the use and maintenance of installed equipment.
- Establish yourself as a technical expert for clients, providing guidance and support.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in mechanical assembly techniques for sub-assemblies and machines, as well as commissioning.
- Strong command of English to communicate effectively with clients and operators, with international travel expected 40-90% of the time.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and detail-oriented.
Nice to Have
- Experience in international project management.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Additional language skills are a plus.
