Infrastructure Engineer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team in a fully remote capacity. As an Infrastructure Engineer (remote), you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our systems and network estate, which includes both on-premises and cloud environments. This position offers a competitive salary of up to £65,000 along with a comprehensive benefits package.

What You'll Do

• Respond to infrastructure incidents and service requests to ensure reliability and performance.
• Deliver infrastructure upgrades, hardware refreshes, and customer migrations.
• Patch and maintain a variety of systems, including Windows, SQL, and Citrix.
• Manage Hyper-V environments and SQL offsite backups, including disaster recovery tests.
• Oversee network firewall management, VPNs, and provide network support across multiple office sites.

Requirements

• Proven background in broad systems and network environments offering administration and support.
• Previous experience with complex migrations, upgrades, and hardware refresh projects.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Citrix, Hyper-V, and Cisco Networking (routing, VLANs, firewalls).
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in multi-site or hybrid environments is preferred, ideally with exposure to both UK and US systems.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud technologies.
• Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., CCNA, MCSA).
• Knowledge of automation tools for infrastructure management.
