About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Industrial Placement Technical Support Engineer to join our team remotely. As an intern, you will not just be observing; you'll be actively involved in solving real-world challenges alongside our full-time engineers.

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot and Innovate: Solve complex network, hardware, and software issues for the Verkada platform.
• Be an Expert: Provide customers with best practices for system design and integration.
• Communicate with Impact: Clearly explain technical concepts to customers both verbally and in writing.
• Own the Problem: Take charge of customer issues from start to finish, ensuring a successful resolution.
• Team Up: Collaborate with our Engineering and Product teams to test new products and identify bugs.
• Share Knowledge: Create content for our Knowledge Base to help others.
• Hands-on Projects: Get involved with lab testing and various team projects.

Requirements

• University students seeking a Sandwich year/Industrial Placement who are working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related technical discipline: Networking, Telecommunications, Systems Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
• Coursework with a focus on computer networking, Linux, computer systems, Python, or other coding languages.
• Ability to communicate complex technical matters both orally and in writing.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Industry certifications are a plus: CCNP, CCNA, CCENT, CCDA, CWNP, CWNA, MCSE, CEH, Network+, Security+, A+.
• Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in a technical support role.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies.
• Knowledge of AI applications in security.
