About the Role
We are seeking a talented Guidewire Consultant (remote) to join our dynamic team at ALOIS Australia. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on the implementation and transformation of Guidewire ClaimCenter and PolicyCenter solutions in the P&C insurance domain. As a Guidewire Consultant, you will collaborate closely with both business and technical teams to deliver high-quality insurance platforms on Guidewire Cloud and related ecosystems.
What You'll Do
- Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions for Guidewire applications.
- Configure and develop Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter / ClaimCenter), including workflows, rules, entities, and UI (PCF).
- Support and deliver end-to-end implementations, enhancements, and cloud migrations using Guidewire Cloud, AWS, and Azure.
- Develop and integrate APIs, web services (REST/SOAP), messaging, and external systems.
- Assist in configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation, particularly for Junior IM roles.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, UAT, and release cycles.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, developers, and QA teams to optimize performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Create documentation, including BRD/FRD, user stories, technical specs, and test cases.
- Mentor junior resources and drive best practices, especially in Lead roles.
Requirements
- 1–2 years (Junior IM – Entry Level) OR 3–5 years (IM) OR 5–10+ years (BA/Developer/Lead) in Guidewire.
- Hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter and/or ClaimCenter.
- Strong understanding of the P&C insurance domain, including claims lifecycle, policy lifecycle, underwriting, and billing.
- Functional skills: Requirements gathering, user stories, UAT, and process modeling.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in Gosu, Java, SQL, XML, Guidewire Studio, PCF, and APIs (REST/SOAP).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira / Azure DevOps.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Guidewire Cloud, AWS, Azure, or GCP) is preferred.
Nice to Have
- Guidewire certifications (PolicyCenter / ClaimCenter / Cloud).
- Experience with InsuranceSuite (BillingCenter, ContactManager).
- DevOps knowledge (CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, Docker/Kubernetes).
- Experience in cloud migration or large-scale transformation programs.
