Embedded Linux Systems Developer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking an Embedded Linux Systems Developer to join our innovative team at Anduril Industries. As an Embedded Linux Systems Developer, you will be integral to the development of our advanced robotics systems, utilizing your expertise in Linux kernel development and embedded systems.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain embedded Linux systems, focusing on board bring-up and maintenance on embedded ARM boards.
• Customize vendor BSPs for use with NixOS systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Implement automated testing and field testing for software deployed on land, sea, and air robotics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and support software solutions.
• Triaging vulnerability reports and mitigating vulnerabilities by patching system components.

Requirements

• Experience with Linux kernel development and familiarity with uboot, EDK2, and platform firmware.
• Proficiency in C or Rust programming languages.
• Interest in using Nix/NixOS as an alternative to Yocto, buildroot, etc.
• U.S. Person status is required due to access to export-controlled data.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in embedded Linux systems development.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Yocto, buildroot, or similar systems.
• Familiarity with packaging CUDA libraries and applications.
• Experience with functional programming paradigms.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages such as C++, Python, Go, or Haskell.
