We're hiring a Frontend Engineer to join our innovative team at Adaptive ML, a frontier AI startup. As a Frontend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in transforming our technology into exceptional products. This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge generative AI technology and contribute to building personalized experiences through reinforcement learning. What You'll Do

• Design, iterate, and implement the frontend of our products, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Develop high-quality TypeScript/React software, adhering to elevated standards of performance and user experience.
• Build and maintain a cohesive design system and component library that scales with the product.
• Construct systematic processes for frontend development, helping to remove unknowns in our strategy.
• Contribute to our product roadmap, bridging the needs of our Commercial Team with the latest capabilities from our Technical Team.
• Report clearly on your work to a distributed collaborative team, with a bias for asynchronous written communication.

Requirements

• Significant experience in frontend or frontend leaning full-stack software development.
• Strong engineering skills with a focus on performance, accessibility, and UI robustness.
• Proficiency in modern frontend tooling — React, TypeScript, and the broader ecosystem.
• A track record of shipping ambitious, polished products under tight deadlines.
• A deep concern for user experience, with an eye for detail at the intersection of design and engineering.
• Passionate about the future of generative AI, and eager to build foundational technology to help machines deliver more singular experiences.

Nice to Have

• Comfortable leveraging AI-assisted programming tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) as part of an established personal workflow to ship faster and with greater confidence.
