Manager of Patient Safety and Risk - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

As our Manager of Patient Safety and Risk in a remote capacity, you will oversee the facility's Patient Safety Program, ensuring compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements. This role is crucial in collecting, analyzing, and reporting patient safety data, investigating events and near misses, and implementing strategies to mitigate risks that affect patient care.

What You'll Do

• Lead the Patient Safety Program, ensuring all requirements for data collection and reporting are met.
• Conduct thorough investigations of events and near misses to enhance patient safety.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to implement learnings from claims and coordinate legal documentation related to hospital liability.
• Participate in system office initiatives aimed at reducing costs and improving patient outcomes.
• Utilize your expertise in risk management to develop strategies that enhance patient safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or five years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of three years of experience in risk management and patient safety.
• At least two years of supervisory experience managing employees or vendors.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure preferred.
• Strong communication skills to present data effectively to various stakeholders.
