Senior System/User Support Officer - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual for the role of Senior System/User Support Officer. This is a unique opportunity to work remotely while supporting the Patient Management System (PMS) at NHS Ayrshire & Arran. As a Senior System/User Support Officer, you will play a vital role in the implementation and ongoing management of the PMS, ensuring that it meets the needs of clinical services and adheres to local and national statutory requirements.
What You'll Do
- Support the PMS Manager in the development and management of the Patient Management System.
- Provide system, user, and training support to various services throughout the organization.
- Participate in projects aimed at the ongoing development of the PMS and its interfaces with other clinical systems.
- Work flexibly within the support team to ensure timely completion of delegated tasks and projects.
- Act as a liaison between internal and external staff to coordinate system updates and changes.
Requirements
- Minimum of HND level education or equivalent in an ICT/Healthcare-related subject.
- Proven experience in delivering system-based solutions and training within an NHS or public sector environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence effectively.
- Experience in supporting clinical systems and understanding of governance requirements.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.
Nice to Have
- Experience with TrakCare or similar Patient Management Systems.
- Knowledge of Scottish Morbidity Records (SMR) and Information Services Division (ISD) reporting.
- Familiarity with health and care technology roles.
