Freelance Quilting Pattern Writer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Freelance Quilting Pattern Writer to join our innovative team at Foxelli Group. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere while contributing to a vibrant community of quilting enthusiasts. As a Quilting Pattern Writer, your primary responsibility will be to create engaging and easy-to-follow quilting patterns that inspire creativity and confidence in quilters of all skill levels. This is a unique opportunity to blend your passion for quilting with your writing skills, making a meaningful impact in the quilting community.

What You'll Do

• Design creative quilting projects that fit within a Mrs Quilty format.
• Write different level patterns, including Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced versions.
• Provide detailed step-by-step instructions, materials lists, finished sizes, cutting guides, diagrams, assembly instructions, and helpful tips.
• Collaborate with our internal team for feedback, testing, and final polishing of patterns.
• Meet deadlines and deliver clean, well-formatted work independently.

Requirements

• Real quilting experience with a portfolio of original patterns.
• Ability to teach through writing in a clear, practical, and easy-to-follow manner.
• Reliable, proactive, and organized work ethic.
• Experience with pattern layout/design tools or basic illustration/diagramming, particularly proficiency in InDesign is a plus.
• Ability to work during at least 5 hours of typical working hours in the Eastern European Time Zone (EET).

Nice to Have

• Experience in the quilting industry or related fields.
• Familiarity with online quilting communities and trends.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
