Expert in EMC and Environmental Testing - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking an Expert in EMC and Environmental Testing to join our team at Rolls-Royce Power Systems. This remote position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and environmental testing. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our systems meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

What You'll Do

• Conduct EMC immunity and emissions testing to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Update and maintain EMC standards for DC, AC, and high-voltage systems.
• Develop proprietary testing standards and create testing instructions and reports.
• Plan and oversee EMC measurements in external laboratories or on-site.
• Review and verify devices and systems for compliance.
• Perform vulnerability analyses and develop solutions to identified issues.
• Support and train colleagues in the field of electromagnetic compatibility.
• Conduct vibration and shock tests, as well as temperature and climate tests.

Requirements

• Completed degree in Electrical Engineering or Communications Engineering.
• Several years of professional experience in development.
• Knowledge in electromagnetic compatibility or communications and high-frequency technology.
• Familiarity with environmental simulation and vibration theory.
• Strong operational implementation skills.
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
• Independent and responsible work ethic.
• Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

• Experience with international standards and regulations.
• Familiarity with advanced testing equipment and methodologies.
• Project management experience.
