Expert Data Analytics - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking an Expert Data Analytics professional for a remote position at Appsfactory, a leading agency in Digital Transformation. If you have a passion for tracking and analytics and are skilled in data structures and SQL, this remote Expert Data Analytics role is perfect for you. You will play a critical role in advancing Data Intelligence within our organization.

What You'll Do

• Act as the central point of contact for tracking and analytics, advising clients and internal teams on the selection of appropriate tracking infrastructure (e.g., Google Analytics, Matomo, Piano).
• Develop smart tracking concepts, define event structures and parameters, and select relevant KPIs.
• Oversee the technical implementation of tracking solutions and ensure exceptional data quality as a quality gate in collaboration with QA.
• Maintain and expand existing tracking setups, creating automated queries and data blends (e.g., in BigQuery/SQL).
• Analyze quantitative data and transform it into visually appealing dashboards (e.g., in Looker) that provide clear actionable insights.
• Promote data-driven work within Appsfactory and inspire clients and internal teams about the potential of valid data.

Requirements

• A completed degree with a focus on quantitative data analysis (Computer Science, Natural Sciences, Data Science, or similar).
• Solid experience in web/app analytics and technical tracking knowledge.
• Proficiency with common tracking tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Piano, Matomo) and the ability to provide informed recommendations for various project needs.
• Strong SQL skills for querying data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery) and ideally basic knowledge of R or Python.
• Excellent skills in data visualization (e.g., in Looker) and the ability to communicate complex data narratives effectively.
• Fluency in German (minimum C1 level) and English (minimum B2 level).

• Experience in mentoring junior developers and guiding them through their learning process.
• Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards.
