Engineering Manager - Antifraud Solutions

About the Role

Join Incode as an Engineering Manager for our Antifraud solutions, where you will lead a talented team in developing cutting-edge technology to combat fraud. This Engineering Manager position is fully remote and offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of identity verification.

What You'll Do

• Lead the end-to-end development and operation of our antifraud platform, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability at every layer.
• Manage and mentor a team of 4–5 engineers, fostering a high-performance culture while delivering high-quality features on time.
• Drive system design and architectural decisions for distributed, data-intensive systems built to operate at scale.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Customer Success, and GTM teams to translate business needs into impactful technical solutions.
• Break down product requirements into clear engineering tasks, ensuring predictable and efficient delivery.
• Contribute directly to the codebase, participate in code reviews, and uphold engineering best practices.
• Own observability, monitoring, alerting, and performance tracking to ensure system health and continuous improvement.
• Leverage analytics and system metrics to optimize fraud detection performance and inform future enhancements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java (Spring Boot preferred) and 2+ years in an engineering management or team lead role.
• Strong experience building and operating backend systems in production.
• Proven expertise with distributed systems, messaging systems (Kafka), and databases.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Product and business teams.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with graph databases (Neo4j).
• Experience with data-driven or analytics-heavy products.
