Director of IT - Remote Position at Penta Software

About the Role

We are seeking a Director of IT to join Penta Software in a remote capacity. As the Director of IT, you will oversee all internal infrastructure and business applications, ensuring security, efficiency, and effectiveness in our operations. This role is pivotal in managing our IaaS service, ensuring it is profitable and meets our customers' needs while staying current with the latest security landscape.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the architecture, deployment, and troubleshooting of AWS environments to support Penta’s ERP.
• Collaborate closely with customers to understand their business needs and implement effective technical solutions.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, automate tasks, and enhance system performance to drive operational efficiency.
• Maintain SOC2 certification and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Identify and remediate cybersecurity risks to ensure security across the business.
• Define the strategic roadmap for IaaS and internal infrastructure that aligns with business objectives.
• Drive IT strategy across the business, setting clear goals and expectations for team members.
• Manage relationships and budgets with vendors and partners to ensure collaboration and alignment.

Requirements

• Proven track record of architecting, deploying, and troubleshooting various business networks.
• In-depth knowledge of architecting, administering, and improving AWS cloud environments.
• Expert understanding of cybersecurity practices and IAM practices.
• Professional experience with Oracle DB on Linux, Windows Server, Networking, and AWS Cloud.
• Strong problem-solving skills and root-cause analysis capabilities.
• Experience mentoring team members to develop professional growth.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SOC2 Type II auditing.
• A strategic mindset to proactively identify improvements and opportunities.
