Director of E+D Strategy - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Director of E+D Strategy to join Microsoft’s Experiences & Devices (E+D) Strategy team. This remote opportunity allows you to play a crucial role in defining how E+D will drive the next wave of growth. As a Director of E+D Strategy, you will be responsible for navigating a complex and dynamic environment, building solid relationships with senior stakeholders, and driving impactful work across various teams and disciplines.

What You'll Do

• Develop and frame product strategies and investment-ready plans in collaboration with product teams, business planning, marketing, and other disciplines.
• Inform resource allocation to align with organizational goals, competitive pressures, and engineering execution across the Experiences + Devices organization.
• Identify opportunities, threats, and potential investments based on market trends, technology shifts, and competitor activities.
• Lead key strategy projects, orchestrate workstreams across E+D and partners, and drive alignment between leaders and product organizations.
• Help define the operational model for a high-impact strategy team, leveraging AI for maximum efficiency and impact.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 4+ years of experience in marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, or economics OR Bachelor's Degree in a related field AND 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
• Proven track record of driving strategic insight, considering product, technology, marketing, business model, and partner perspectives.
• Demonstrated hypothesis-driven, problem-solving orientation with the ability to leverage both quantitative and qualitative analyses for decision-making.
• Strong ability to engage, influence, and manage positive relationships with key stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• 4+ years of experience in Strategy, Management Consulting, and/or Finance.
• Instincts for portfolio management and sound business judgment.
• Experience in leveraging AI for strategy development.
