About the Role

EngageCX is on the lookout for a Director of Digital Marketing to spearhead our digital marketing initiatives in the health insurance sector. This remote Director of Digital Marketing role is pivotal in shaping our Marketing Solutions business, focusing on lead generation and customer acquisition. You will report directly to the COO and be responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive growth across various markets, including Medicare insurance.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee and optimize digital marketing strategies for Medicare and related verticals, managing a substantial annual marketing budget of $5-$10M.
  • Enhance full-funnel performance metrics, focusing on cost per call, cost per opportunity, and cost per submission, ensuring alignment with unit economic targets.
  • Conduct structured experimentation including market research, creative testing, and landing page optimization to refine messaging and value propositions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external creative teams to produce compelling ad copy and visual assets for digital campaigns.
  • Develop advanced analytics and reporting frameworks to provide transparency into marketing performance to executive stakeholders.
  • Manage financial forecasting, budget planning, and variance analysis to ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with advertising regulations and business practices while delivering high-quality marketing content.
  • Recruit, train, and lead a growing internal marketing team to enhance our capabilities in digital marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in performance-based digital marketing, ideally within insurance or regulated consumer financial products.
  • Proven track record managing significant annual marketing budgets with accountability for business outcomes.
  • Expertise in optimizing campaigns across major acquisition channels such as Google, Meta, and Microsoft/Bing.
  • Advanced proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel, Google Analytics, and AB testing platforms like Optimizely.
  • Experience with CRM and telephony tools is a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and mentorship.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and demonstrate resilience in a fast-paced environment.
