We are seeking a Director of Command Systems Hardware Design to lead our innovative team at Northrop Grumman. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to drive hardware engineering execution across our Command Systems Business Unit (BU). What You'll Do

  • Lead hardware engineering execution across the SDS Division portfolio of programs.
  • Establish and direct the implementation of integrated hardware engineering processes across the Command Systems Organization.
  • Drive a culture of empowerment and accountability within the engineering team.
  • Manage all aspects of development across mission/weapon system engineering and subsystem/component hardware design.
  • Ensure product quality and consistency while managing auditing and oversight functions.
  • Interface closely with product/program team leadership to implement engineering priorities.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to all levels of engineering staff.
  • Support business development and capture efforts as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 10 years of progressive engineering experience, or Master’s with 8 years of experience.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and developing hardware.
  • 5+ years of experience with EVMS on hardware development programs.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance, investigation must have been completed within the last 5 years.
  • Experience managing people and leading diverse teams.

Nice to Have

  • ICBM or complex aerospace systems experience.
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience.
  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
